Gwen DiPietro is an engineer, wife/mother/grandmother, and professor. She lives in a walkable Pittsburgh neighborhood—a short stroll from the coffee shop, a couple of restaurants, the library, bus lines, and a longer walk to a business district and regional park. Her children, grown now, continue to walk and bus their ways around their cities.
