A man uses a machete to cut designs into an old tire. After turning the tire inside out, he will shape it into a fancier-looking planter just like the finished product on the left. These re-purposed containers will be used for planting herbs or vegetable seedlings, serving both to keep moisture in and protecting the plants from pests.
