A season of rest for Topology and the daily asterisk

After a time of conversation and discernment, the editors of Topology have decided to put the online magazine and the daily asterisk to rest for a while. Though many wonderful writers and photographers have created beautiful work in response to our monthly themes, a convergence of life transitions for the editorial team has suggested a need for a break. We will take up the question of a re-start after 2018.

In the meantime, any editorial groups that might be interested in continuing the magazine along the theme of “artful dispatches from the places where we find ourselves” are encouraged to get in touch with a proposal. In the two years we’ve been publishing Topology, we’ve learned that a team of five to six people who have the capacity to meet regularly in person is the best fit for getting the work done with a sense of companionship, creativity, and joy. Skill with WordPress publishing and image editing would also be a great help.

Thank you for your support and encouragement in the past two years! We would be grateful for your prayers and good wishes as we give this work a rest for a time.
